Privacy Policy

Memlane (“Memlane”, “we”, “us”) helps you save links and reads, files them under your own topics, and lets you search them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers the Memlane app at app.memlane.io and this website.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and authentication details, used to sign you in and secure your account.
• Content you save: the links you submit, the page text and summaries we generate from them, the topics and notes you create, and any sharing settings you choose.
• Usage and technical data: basic logs needed to operate and protect the service, such as request metadata and error reports.
• Payment information: if you subscribe, our payment provider processes your billing details. We receive your subscription status, not your full card number.

How we use it

• To run the core product: fetching the pages you save, generating summaries, filing links under your topics, and powering search.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the service.
• To handle billing and send essential account communications.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use the content you save to train our own models.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run Memlane:

• Supabase: authentication and the database that stores your account, topics, and link records.
• Cloudflare: compute, hosting, page rendering, and object storage for the saved page text.
• OpenRouter: the AI provider that generates summaries and classifies links into topics. Saved page text is sent to this provider to produce those results.
• Polar: payment processing for paid subscriptions.

Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver its part of the service.

Sharing

Your saved links are private by default. If you mark an individual article as public, anyone with the link can view that article. That is the only content made visible outside your account, and only when you choose it. You can switch a shared article back to private at any time.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual links or notes in the app, and you can request deletion of your whole account by emailing us. When an account is deleted, we remove its content from our active systems.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise them, contact us at hello@memlane.io.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
